Battle Site of St George’s Night Uprising
The Sõjamäe landscape carries memories of fighting during the 1343 St George’s Night Uprising, although precise battle lines are hard to locate.
The uprising began in 1343, bringing resistance to established power and military clashes around Tallinn. Sõjamäe’s name and memorials have kept the events visible.
