In Juhkentali’s former military district it is tempting to label a present-day building “the hospital”, even though individual buildings and their uses changed over time. Historical plans and archival documents are needed to establish the dates and location of a particular medical facility. The area also invites attention to the less visible work of war: treating wounds, waiting for news and helping people recover.
