St Catherine’s Passage
St Catherine’s Passage places medieval street life beside old grave slabs and the remains of a monastic past.
The narrow passage offers a different scale of Old Town life from the open squares. Old grave slabs along the way recall the vanished world of the nearby monastic church and its burials. Today the workshops make it a living street, while the walls preserve reminders of the dead. Walk slowly: stone, craft and memorials tell the stories of different centuries at once.
