Why was this platform created?

Big stories are usually written down. Small stories live on a street corner, in a wall stone or above a doorway — and must first be noticed.

Purpose

TallinnSecrets.ee was created to make local history intriguing and spatially understandable. The map shows that history is not confined to books or display cases: it remains around us in today's city.

What we want to achieve

• bring lesser-known stories onto one simple, freely accessible map;
• encourage people to observe the urban environment more closely;
• combine verifiable historical information with clearly identified folklore and urban legends;
• support respectful, safe discovery on foot;
• keep the platform usable without an account, app or advertising tracking.
